At the beginning of the 1985-86 season, Eileen was the only dancer to join the Solid Gold cast. She appeared on the show for two seasons - experiencing both the traditional Solid Gold "countdown" choreography style of Anita Mann and the sophisticated style of Lester Wilson during Solid Gold '87.
During her first season on the show, Eileen's gymnastic abilities complimented those of fellow SG dancer Nicole Romine. She started her gymnastics training in the 9th grade and learned commitment, balance and control of her body.
"I learned commitment 'cause in gymnastics, you can't go halfway for something," she said during a Solid Gold 87 interview. "Otherwise you'll end up on your bootie or something
you fall over."
Eileen, who has three older sisters, studied civil engineering at California Polytechnic in San Luis Obispo. She put engineering on the shelf to pursue the theatrical world. She got into dancing as a means of exercise to lose weight, and had studied dance with Pam Rossi's mom before auditioning for Solid Gold.
For
awhile , Eileen was still is active in the entertainment industry,
where she had found popularity as a Madonna
impersonator in Hawaii with her husband, Jonathan Von Brana.
She and Brana, an Elvis impersonator, met while working in the popular
Waikiki show "Legends in Concert." As of August 2003,
it's been reported that Eileen is no longer working as a Madonna
impersonator. Her current line of work is unknown at this time.
Quote Note - "I'm having so much fun in the dancing, acting, theatrical world. It's such a highlight of my life."
