Gayle joined the cast of Solid Gold in 1983. She remained on the show until the end of the 1984-85 season.

It was Gayle's two older brothers who inspired her to pursue a dance career. Her brother Leonard has appeared in the role of Tom Thumb with the national company of "Barnum," and her brother Ron choreographed a London production of "Hello Dolly" starring Carol Channing. Before she appeared on Solid Gold, Gayle was a featured dancer in Liza Minnelli's 1977 stage show "The Act." Martin Scorsese was credited with directing this show, even though Gower Champion had replaced him. A 1977 Newsweek article had this to say about Champion and the dancers in "The Act" -- "he has given the dances momentum, and the line supports Liza like a crack combat squad going through a mine field."

Gayle, who was born in California, also had the opportunity to appear on the former TV show "Alice." She was a featured dancer in a play Alice was working on!

Gayle had appeared on an episode of the tabloid TV show "Hard Copy" in 1991, along with Pam and Darcel. The segment showed Gayle working in the cosmetics industry. It is not known at this time whether or not she is still involved in that business.
