Solid Gold dancer Janeen Best is now known as Janeen Damian! In June 1998, she married actor/singer Michael Damian (of "The Young & the Restless" fame)! Check out the Official Michael Damian Web Site to see some great pics of Janeen and Michael.

Raised in Jackson, Mississippi, Janeen took her first dance class at age 2 1/2. Her mother was the artistic director of the Mississippi Ballet Theater. Janeen was a principal dancer for the Mississippi Ballet Theater and a soloist for the Dallas Metropolitan Ballet.

Janeen was a Solid Gold dancer for two, nonconsecutive seasons. Fans first saw her in 1982 when Rex Smith co-hosted the show with Marilyn McCoo. She appeared on the show again in 1985 when dancer Lezlie Mogell left the show.

Today, Janeen is a feature film producer! She and Michael currently live outside of Paris, France where they are co-executive producers of a new series called "Red Eye." The series stars Michael, as well as Janeen’s father, James Best (best known for his role as "Rosco" on the Dukes of Hazard TV series).

Other projects Janeen has worked on include the film "Death Mask." Janeen and her stepmother, Dorothy, were executive producers for that film, which was written by and starred her father!
