Mark joined the cast of Solid Gold in 1984. He and Cooley utilized one of the most popular dance forms of the 1980s - breakdancing! Mark remained a dancer on Solid Gold through the end of the 1985-86 season.

Before appearing on Solid Gold, Mark and his sister Laura competed as a dance team. They won awards on the television shows "American Bandstand" (1980) and "Star Search" (1984).

Mark also was featured in Michael Jackson's legendary music video "Thriller." He appeared as one of the graveyard's poppin' and lockin' zombies! He can be spotted in "The Making of Michael Jackson's Thriller" as well, during the behind the scenes choreography and dance practice segment.

A native of Missouri, Mark has returned to his southern roots in recent years. He choreographed the Luke Perry movie "8 Seconds" in 1994, and won third place in an amateur country singer's talent contest in 1995 . Mark is currently working as a dance instructor in California and is pursuing a singing career!

Mark Sellers Music has graciously shared a recent headshot of Mark, as well as a great photo of Mark with his guitar--both taken in 2005--with the Unofficial Solid Gold Dance Connection Web site!
