Paula
was an original member of the Solid Gold Dancers! She joined the show
for its first season in 1980 and remained on the show until the end
of the 1982-83 season.
Paula
received her dance training in Nashville, Atlanta and Los Angeles,
where she also studied acting. Throughout her career, she added
numerous credits to her resume - including Mac Davis specials, The
Jackson Five series, Sonny & Cher, Pink Lady and Jeff, Grease, History
of the World, and New York, New York.
After
Solid Gold, Paula appeared as a dancer in the John Travolta movie
"Staying Alive," which also featured fellow Solid Gold dancers Helene
Phillips, Audrey Baranishyn and Deborah Jenssen.
Paula
had been married to Rick Springfield's drummer, Jack White. She
appeared with him in Springfield's "What Kind of Fool Am I" video.
In the video, White kisses Paula and pulls her over into the front
seat of a car while at the drive-in!
She
also once owned her own clothing line called "Fun Stuff."
Paula,
who stands 5'5, was born in Pennsylvania on December 6, and later
raised in Nashville, TN.
