ENTER OUR SOLID GOLD 2000 CONTEST GIVEAWAY!
The Solid Gold Dance Connection has a cool new contest to kick off the start of 1999. Imagine that the producers of Solid Gold have decided to put together a reunion show to celebrate the millennium. The producers are thinking of calling it "Solid Gold 2000," and premiering it on New Year's Eve 1999. As part of a nation-wide advertising campaign, the show's producers are asking SG fans for their input on the reunion special. Who should host the show? Which recording artists should appear? Should they bring back some of the dancers? If so, which ones? Should the famous SG countdown be included in some way? Where would the special be filmed? How long should the special be? What should the title of the special be? What other special segments should be included in the show?
A reunion show is something Solid Gold fans have been dreaming about for a LONG time! So here's our next contest -- It's your chance to produce THE ideal Solid Gold reunion show! Give us a description of what a Solid Gold reunion show would be like if you were one of the show's producers. The questions above are only guidelines to help you get started -- so don't be shy, be creative!
We will reward one Solid Gold fan for their efforts by sending them a copy of the December 28, 1985 issue of TV Guide, which features pictures and an article about the 1985-86 Solid Gold Dancers! The winner's name will be chosen randomly from fans that submit their description of a Solid Gold reunion show.
Email your descriptions of an ideal Solid Gold reunion show to sgdc@hotmail.com by January 31, 1999. Absolutely no entries will be received after this date. Please submit only one entry per person or email address.
In February, we will share the reunion show descriptions with SGDC visitors by posting them on the site for all to see and read! So by submitting a reunion show description, you give the SGDC permission to post it on the web site.
Good luck everyone! And have fun creating your Solid Gold reunion show!!!
