Where can I purchase videos of the show and/or dance segments?

Currently, there are no official copies of the show (that we know of) available for sale on video or any other media.

Is there any official Solid Gold merchandise I can purchase?

Copies of The Solid Gold 5-Day Workout VHS featuring the Solid Gold dancers can be found at online sites like Amazon.com's marketplace, and occasionally you can find the video on online auction sites such as eBay or Yahoo. The Solid Gold Music Trivia Game, made by Ideal in 1984, can often be found on online auction sites, as well. As of September 2004, a web site called Gorilla Nation Studio Store was selling two knock-off t-shirts featuring the words "Solid Gold."

Where can I get a copy of the Solid Gold theme song?

The theme song from the 1985-86 season, which was sung by Dionne Warwick, is available on a CD called Televisions Greatest Hits: Vol. 3 Themes from 70s & 80s. The song is track number 48! This CD can usually be found at music stores and online music sites.

Do the Solid Gold Dancers run the Unofficial Solid Gold Dance Connection web site?

No. Jenn, the webmaster for The Unofficial Solid Gold Dance Connection, is a Solid Gold fan who met another Solid Gold dancer fan, Jeff, online in 1998 and together they decided to create a web site dedicated to their favorite dancers of all time! The SGDC is a non-profit web site created purely for fan purposes only. The Unofficial Solid Gold Dance Connection is in no way affiliated with the television show Solid Gold, Paramount Pictures, Brad Lachman Productions or any of the dancers who appeared on the show during its run.

Do the Solid Gold Dancers know this web site exists?

Yes, we know for certain that some of them have visited and seen the site. And it's quite possible that even more of them have seen the site, but have not contacted us.

Have any of the Solid Gold Dancers made contributions to the web site?

Yes. When information about the current whereabouts of any of the Solid Gold dancers becomes available, we do attempt to contact them by snail mail and/or e-mail to inform them about the web site and invite them to contribute by submitting photos and/or information about their dance careers. Unfortunately, some Solid Gold dancers have either declined to become involved with the site, or never replied to our letters.

When dancers do decide to contribute to the SGDC, they are in total control as to what type of information (old or current) they are comfortable posting on a public web page. We may make suggestions as to what kind of information wed like to receive, but each dancer makes the final decision on what they provide to us and what we may post. Many dancers have been gracious enough to share photos theyve chosen straight from their personal collections! Once a dancer has shared material with us and weve established a relationship with that person, we then invite them to participate in more extensive features, like the 20 Questions segment however, they may decline to do so.

Finding current information on the whereabouts of the dancers has proved to be quite a challenge for us but its a challenge were definitely up to! We've been pretty successful in this area so far, and we hope our luck continues. But fans should keep in mind that more than two dozen dancers appeared on the show during its run, and its been two decades since the show first aired. With so many dancers to find and so many years passed, its sometimes difficult to find basic information about the dancers, let alone what they are doing nowadays. We dont know if well ever be able to locate every single dancer, but were sure going to try it just may take some time. :o)

I am a former Solid Gold Dancer who do I contact about making a contribution to this site?

If you were a member of the dance troupe for the TV show Solid Gold -- WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU!!! For further details, please send Jenn an e-mail at .

As webmaster, has Jenn been able to meet any of the dancers?

No. I've corresponded with several of the dancers via e-mail or snail mail for the purpose of receiving content to display on the site, but that's about it.

Can you give me the street/e-mail address of my favorite Solid Gold Dancer?

Out of respect for ALL of the dancers' privacy, this site will not release any detailed information we have pertaining to their whereabouts. In our opinion, protecting the privacy of the dancers has made most of them feel comfortable enough to communicate with us and submit up-to-date, accurate information about their careers, as well as some really cool pictures from their personal collections! We're hoping that our reputation -- for keeping their personal information confidential -- will allow us to work with other dancers in the future, as more dancers find out about this site and our tribute to their dance careers.

I have some photos of the Solid Gold Dancers. Will you post them on your site?

Sure! In fact, other Solid Gold fans submitted many of the photos on the site. We are always looking for new photos and/or information about the Solid Gold dancers to add to our site. Please send us e-mail at .

I missed the last 20 Questions feature how will I know when the next one is coming up? How can I submit a question for it?

When the SGDC has planned a 20 Questions feature, a notice will be posted on either the homepage and/or the SGDC fourm to inform fans. The notice will include information about which Solid Gold dancer is being featured, as well as how to submit questions. We usually give fans several weeks to submit questions, and then the dancer has several weeks to answer the questions before the feature is posted for all to read.

How can I contact the webmaster for The Unofficial Solid Gold Dance Connection?

You can send e-mail to . I'd love to hear from you! Despite e-mail filters, there's an ever-increasing amount of spam these days. If possible, please put the words SOLID GOLD in the subject heading of your e-mail.
