Born in Stafford, Kansas, Tony and fellow dancer Alex Cole originated the male dance roles on Solid Gold. He was a member of the cast when the show premiered in the fall of 1979. Tony appeared on the show for four seasons, departing in 1984.

According to the book "Film Choreographers and Dance Directors" by Larry Billman, Tony left Solid Gold to assist Michael Peters (Peters' choreography includes music videos such as Michael Jackson's "Thriller," and "Beat It," and Lionel Richie's "Running with the Night").

Most fans may already know that Tony was a featured actor/dancer in the movie "A Chorus Line." Yet, he actually appeared in numerous movie roles after Sold Gold. Some of the films were dance related, like "Body Beat," while others were strictly acting parts or roles as a movie extra, like in the film "Protocol" starring Goldie Hawn.

In 1987, Tony added the title of choreographer to his resume when he choreographed the film "Summer School, and later, the Corey Haim/Corey Feldman film "Dream A Little Dream" in 1989.

Unfortunately, cancer took the life of this talented Solid Gold dancer on February 27, 1995, according to Billman's book. Tony was just 36 years old.
